lets just hope the front seal did,nt blow. if your going to change the fluid at home then pick up a gasket and filter along with about 6 or 7 quarts of fluid. it,s not a hard job to do. your probably looking around 50 or 75 dollars for the parts if you do the job yourself. don,t flush it, just drain it and change the fluid and filter. flushing can blow seals and gaskets.How much would it cost to change the transmission fluid on my 2000 Impala? Local transmission shops around Cincinnati it runs about $100.00 for a power flush. It would be more if you have seals other than the pan gasket leaking. About $40.00 bucks if you know a shade tree mechanic that will help you out, About $59.00 bucks for a fluid and filter change.
