If your putting on 25,000+ miles a year on that car then you should be doing it once a year. I don't think synthetic is relevant in this point of the car's life. I would just put in what is recommended from the factory.At least how many kilometers do i have to change my transmission fluid (oil)?
For most cars, generally, things like this are best done every 6 months or every 12,000 miles.

not knowing how you drive i would go by the colour and aroma of the transmission fluid..red ok brown or dirty looking replace...and if it has a burnt aroma replace..other wise change it every 6mths or 12000km.
