I HAD A 2001 AND IT HAD A PLUG ABOUT 17MM ITS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PAN FACING OUTWARD TOWARD THE DRIVERS SIDE.IT ALSO HAS A VERY THIN HEAD ON IT (NOT LIKE THE OIL DRAIN PLUG)Anyone know how to change transmission fluid in a 2003 eclipse GS. (does it have a drain plug or a pan)?
Usually you will have to remove the pan. As you do change the filter. You can install a drain plug, it would be easier and not as messy as dropping the entire pan. Just make sure you buy a good filter and a good quality fluid. Royal Purple AT fluid is good, but is high in cost. Good luck on staying clean!Anyone know how to change transmission fluid in a 2003 eclipse GS. (does it have a drain plug or a pan)?
