Also I would like to get 75,000 more miles out of this car. It has had almost no problems. I just changed the timing belt and water pump. How likely is it that it will last that long? You need to drop the pan and change the filter. I wouldn't power flush the transmission that can cause problems. Also has the fuel filter been changed? How important is it to change transmission fluid? 2002 Ford ZX2 125,000 miles on it?
the transmission is sealed , leave it in there unless it leaks. there is no problemHow important is it to change transmission fluid? 2002 Ford ZX2 125,000 miles on it?
Definatly change the transmission fluid, I have a 2000 zx2, that is next on my list of things to do. i've done some reading and it looks like a few things will have to be removed and can be tricky just dropping the pan to change the fluid and the trans filter, so i am going to take mine to a transmission shop to have it done, i recommend that as well. Just do your basic tune up, plugs, wires, pcv valve, check vacuum hoses, fuel and air filter and car should last, only other thing you will probably have a problem out of is the alternator. How important is it to change transmission fluid? 2002 Ford ZX2 125,000 miles on it?
