I was just wondering if it is worth paying $150 (which is what de Chevy Stealership charges) or just doing it myself, and basically I need some advice on how to do it.

First off, how many miles? If you are doing routine maintenance by the book, meaning going by exact miles to do fluid change, then yes its worth doing the flush and fill. If you have gone over the desired mileage for fluid change,(10,000 or so) LEAVE IT ALONE, do not change the fluid. You will lose the tranny eventually. Dont even change the filter.
