Obviously thats incorrect. Transmission fluid must be changed, thats a fact.

Is is auto or manual. A manual trans is not too difficult, as long as you can get under the car to drain the trans and then have some way of putting new oil back in. Autos are much the same, but it is critical you have the fluid level exact for proper operation of the auto. If in doubt, seek out your nearest Ford dealer.

on automatic,it takes about an hour to do it.there is no drain plug on this Focus.so it going to be a lttle messy when draining the oil.you have to replace the transmission oil pan gasket too.it use special fluid call mercon-v.it takes 6.7 quart. 4.90 per quart
