20 mins not long at all, pull the transmission plug (cap)(lid) off and drain, flush it, then put new transmission fluid inn. my man. if you don't know how to do it get someone to show you for free or look on the computer. its the same with oil but you dont flush just drain...How long does it take on average to change the transmission fluid on a 2004 avalanche?
